The Puppet;;
Playby;; Fernando Torres Birth Name;; Zachary Wilson Nicknames;;Zach Age;; 16 Year;;6th House;; (Leave blank. Up to Stephanie and Lis) Birthday;; September 5th Blood;; Half Nationality;; British
Appearance;;
Height;; 6'0" Body-type;;Fairly thin, but not a twig. Weight;; 150 lbs. Hair;; Pretty short hair which he spikes up. Dark blonde, with the tips of the spikes being lighter. Natural hair;; (See 'Hair') Eyes;; A light shade of brown. Skin/Complexion;; Clear, lightly tanned skin. Birthmark(s);; A small mark in the shape of an X on his right ankle. General Appearance(3-4 paragraphs);; When first laying their eyes upon Zach, one would most likely assume that he was fairly athletic and took care of his body well. While this opinion would probably change instantly upon seeing him attempt to run, Zach does have a somewhat athletic look to him. He isn't exactly isn't very muscular or quick, but he stays in decent shape to ensure that his slender form isn't compromised due to his inactivity.
Zach mastered cutting his own hair using his wand in his second year, and makes sure that it never grows out past the normal amount by cutting it at least once every few weeks. While he normally spikes it up, occasionally he will get lazy and leave it as it is. While he doesn't get much sleep, his body doesn't really require that much, and it is a rarity to see bags beneath his eyes or for him to look like he just woke up.
While Zach doesn't really enjoy the conformity of the school robes, he normally wears them all throughout the weekdays. On the weekends he will usually wear the Muggle clothes he grew up with, although it's generally just jeans and a T-shirt. He tends not to worry about his appearance for longer than 5 or 10 minutes in the morning, but keeps himself up well enough to be presentable.
Personality;;
Likes;; + Watching Quidditch + Walking through the school + Hogsmeade Trips + Defense Against the Dark Arts
Dislikes;; - Any physical activity more difficult than walking - Being in social situations with large groups of people - History of Magic
Strengths;; + Confident in himself when talking to a small group or an individual + Gets fairly good grades + Generally an easy-going guy, doesn't like to rock the boat
Weaknesses;; - Becomes tongue-tied when public speaking or in large social situations - Tends to let things slide a bit too often in fear of creating a scene -Doesn't put as much effort into schoolwork as he could, so his grades don't reflect his true potential
Personality(3-4 paragraphs);; While Zach may seem like a shy, reserved person in some situations, this is far from the truth when he becomes comfortable. He relies much on his intuition to discern a person's true intentions for conversing with him. While he tries not to judge people too quickly, he finds himself being a lot more outgoing and trusting with people that he believes are truly genuine. He is a very confident person in one-on-one conversation, and finds very little trouble in coming up with things to say.
Although one would never know it by talking to him, Zach sometimes finds himself being a very egotistical person. Despite the fact that he would never treat people differently because of it, occasionally Zach will begin to think of other people as beneath him, be it morally or intellectually. While he usually catches himself in the act of this pretty quickly and clears the assumption from his mind, it is still a part of his personality that he absolutely hates, and has been trying for years to dispose of.
Because he considers himself to be a fairly smart person, Zach tends to try to associate with smarter people when possible. While he will befriend nearly anyone who seems nice enough to him, his best friends are those whom he can converse openly with about anything that is on his mind. Overall, though, Zach is a pretty social person who can find something to talk about with just about anyone who is willing to talk to him.
Family;;
Mother's Name;; Laura Williams Mother's Blood;; Muggle Father's Name;; Edward Wilson Father's Blood;; Half Siblings;; None
Family History;; Growing up, Zach was always close with dad. In his younger years he knew nothing about his magic... he was sent to Muggle school, had Muggle friends, and was a normal child. His father, while admittedly working a lot, always found time to talk to him about anything that was on his mind. He would sometimes take him out on long walks at night for the simple sake of catching up on things that they hadn't had a chance to talk about recently. Zach always felt a special connection with his father... despite the fact that he didn't get to see him too often, he felt like he could tell his father almost anything without fear of judgment or punishment.
While his mother raised him wonderfully and was a loving, attentive parent, Zach never found himself becoming as emotionally attached to her as he was to his father. Despite many attempts from her, he never really felt like having discussions with his mother about what he was feeling or what was going on in his life. When he was younger, he internally blamed his mother for their strained relationship, but as time passed and he grew more mature, he began to realize that it was his own doing.
At the age of 11, when he was told that he was a wizard, the first thing that came to his mind was that his father must be a wizard as well. It came as no surprise to him when he learned that this assumption was true, along with the fact that his mother did not possess the same magical abilities. This news connected him with his father even more, and Zach spent a majority of his remaining time at home discussing magic with his father, although his dad refused to reveal too much about Hogwarts, not wanting to 'ruin the surprise'.
Basics;;
Boggart;; The dead bodies of his mother and father Patronus;; A cougar. Mirror of Erised;; Himself, along with his parents and a girl (presumably his future wife) whose face he cannot quite discern. Dementor;; The thought of being expelled from Hogwarts. Wand;; 13-inch Mahogany with Dragon Heartstring
Roleplay Sample;; As Zach sat in a compartment on the Hogwarts Express, the smell of candy gliding into his compartment from the passing trolley, a plethora of thoughts were zooming around his head. This was the day... he hadn't even known about it until a few months earlier, and yet he felt now that his entire life until then had only been preparing him for this. When his father told him that he was a wizard, he hadn't known what to say. He knew without a shadow of a doubt that it was the truth, solely because of the expression on his fathers face, and yet still he didn't have a clue as to how he should react. Obviously he was ecstatic about the revelation, but he knew absolutely nothing about this 'Hog Warts' as they called it. How often will I see my parents? What if I'm a bad wizard? What if they're wrong, and I'm not really a wizard at all? All these doubts were running through his mind at the speed of light, and yet with a single glimpse at his father's face, he was back to Earth. The expression in his face...it wasn't sadness or fear; it was pure joy, love, and above all: pride in his son.
Thinking back to his father's face, Zach remembered why he was so excited about this moment. He had been on the train for a few hours, he knew they had to be nearing Hogwarts (as he had since learned it was called). Every night from the moment his father had revealed his secret to him, all he could think about was this day, and now it was finally unfolding. The kids around the train station had all been so excited, so full of life... he knew that they were all as nervous as he was, and yet the thought of what lay ahead of them was so brilliant that it cast light upon the shadows of doubt in the back of their minds, not allowing them to feel the slightest bit of fear. In the compartment, which was full of first-years, it was a different story; very few kids even spoke a word on the train, they were all lost in their own fantasies about what the school would be like.
As the train began slowing down, Zach felt his heart beating faster and faster. This was it...the beginning of the rest of his life. Everything that happened from this moment onward was a part of a new world that he had been thrown into, one that he felt that he had truly belonged to from the day he was born. He knew basically nobody there, basically nothing about the school, and absolutely no magic, and yet fear was the furthest thing from his mind. He knew that this was where he belonged, he knew that he would do just fine at this place. He had no reason at all to believe this, but something about the castle just made him feel in his heart that he was at home. Taking a deep breath and wishing for the best, Zach took his first step off of the train, and began his new life.
Note: I know my record for activity has been dismal in the past, but I have finished my Midterms and I'm really going to put forth an effort into coming here every day if I'm accepted.

Hi Joel, We appreciate your enthusiasm in wanting to join Acconite, unfortunately thought both of us have a few reservations. We feel that 'Zach Wilson' is typical HP character for roleplaying forums, but also since we have roleplayed with you before, a very typical character for you. We wish to push the boundaries with this roleplay forum, and try to have longer posts, dynamic characters, and active members - ie. an advanced literate board. Unfortunately, we feel that you cannot uphold to this - we understand that you are done midterms and that you are going to be active more, but in your application you stated your activity level would be a bit low. You expressed that roleplaying has helped you with English, but we would like to push you even more and step out of your boundaries. We welcome you to reply with a new application for Zach Wilson or a new character as you wish. But we hope and look forward to seeing something different and not so safe for you. At this moment in time, we will have to decline this application of Zach Wilson.
